As a mother of a special needs child, it meant a lot to be able to hear from other parents who have experienced similar challenges in schooling for their children, including how neurotypical family members can be impacted. It was great to meet other parents so that we can organise social activities outside of school too. It is comforting to now have a community for my son, who can support him to grow and who provide opportunities such as this regular community networking morning tea for parents, teachers and support workers to get together.
Our family appreciates Pacific Hope and what you all do for kids like my son and their families. We are so happy to have found a school for him that is supportive and encouraging. Thank you for today - I look forward to the next one.
